Renewable
Resources - Resodyn
Corporation's chemical process technology extends
to many areas including renewable resources. Three
examples include Biodiesel Fuel Production, Chemical
Pulping of Wheat Straw, and Aeration and Purification
of Aquaculture Ponds.
Biodiesel Fuel Production
 |
Resodyn Corporation has developed a biodiesel
fuel production process based on chemical conversion
technology to take waste grease (such as restaurant
yellow grease) containing high levels of free fatty
acids and converting it directly to methyl esters
of the fatty acid molecules; these methyl esters
(biodiesel). The process for performing this conversion
also produces high grade/high value glycerin and
fertilizer. |
Features:
Continuous flow process
Uses
low cost readily available feedstock
Byproducts
are high value
Benefits:
Process can use very high fatty
acid content greases
Glycerin byproduct is
very pure
Supply of feed stock is expected
to increase
Governmental legislation favors
production
Applications:
Rendering facilities
Waste grease
collection repositories
Sewage treatment
facilities

Chemical Pulping of Wheat Straw
 |
Resodyn Corporation's wheat straw chemical pulping
technology turns wheat straw (field residue after
harvesting) into pulp which can be used for specialty
applications where non chlorine bleached paper
is required or desired. The pulping operation is
an environmentally friendly (green) process that
produces a product from waste that can be sold
at a premium. |
Features:
Produces chlorine bleach free
paper pulp
Environmentally friendly
Suited
to system of small operations
High brightness
Potential for
other byproducts
Benefits:
Provides extra income to farmers/ranchers
for waste product
Alternative to burning
that is becoming environmentally unacceptable or banned
High
quality product gets premium price
Conserve
trees
Domestic source
Provides rural
area jobs
Applications:
Farmer co-operatives
Indian
Tribes
Corporate farms

Aeration and Purification
of Aquaculture Ponds
 |
Resodyn Corporation's aquaculture chemical processes
are oriented at providing clean water that is properly
aerated to populations of aquatic species being
raised in farms (both closed loop and recirculating
farms). These processes are enhanced by ResonantSonics® that
is exceptional at dissolving oxygen into water.
The removal of waste products such as ammonia (using
ResonantSonics® enhanced IX beds) is also greatly
enhanced by ResonantSonics®. |
Features:
High oxygenation levels possible
Solids
can be rapidly removed
Efficient ozone transfer
for cost effective disinfection
Carbon dioxide
stripping
Benefits:
Additional
fish production in reduced space (high population density)
Less
disease associated with inadequate waste removal
Lower
net cost
Applications:
Fish
farms
Shrimp farms
Aquariums
Ballast water disinfection
Waste
treatment facilities
