Mechanical Engineer


Position Description:

Mechanical Engineer to join our team!

BSME or MSME (preferred), mechanical engineering experience preferred.

Successful candidates must have developed strong mechanical engineering skills and a knack for innovative solutions to technically challenging design problems through education and/or work experience in a product development environment.

An inquisitive, problem-solving disposition is required. Responsibilities will include mechanical engineering for a broad range of prototype, pre-commercial equipment and new commercial products that are being developed in an advanced R&D environment. The work also includes Design for Manufacturing projects. Applications for the technologies include rotating machinery, vibrating equipment, thermal spray equipment, process equipment and plant design.

Qualified candidates will have solid modeling experience in CAD and CAE.

The mechanical engineering scope encompasses the development of product design configurations and/or individual components and the performance data associated with such developments. Engineers with solid analytical skills, strong mechanical design skills and machine design skills are being sought. A working knowledge of the first principles of mechanical engineering is essential.

Requirements

  • BSME or equivalent degree, MSME preferred (ABET Accredited)
  • Experience as a mechanical engineer preferred
  • Requires strong analytical skills, mechanical design skills, and machine design skills
  • Strong computer skills including a version of PC based CAD (solid modeling), CAE (both structural and thermal desired), and general office software
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the USA
