Polymer Chemist
Position Description: Polymer Chemist to join our team!
The position requires the candidate to have a solid fundamental knowledge in organic synthesis and polymer synthesis. Polymer application experience will certainly be the plus. Only the candidate who has creative thinking and fast learning capability, as well as has good hands-on wet bench experimental skills, should apply.
The successful candidate must have a knack for innovative solutions to technically challenging problems through work experience in a research, or a product/process development environment.
The candidate must have the ability to work independently in a team-based environment and collaborate with chemists, biochemical and chemical engineers to conduct research. It is also required that candidate has very solid background in polymer formulation, characterization and processing. Experience in polymer biocompatibility and biodegradability is a plus. An inquisitive, problem-solving disposition is required.
In this role, the candidate will take responsibility for assigned projects from inception to completion. The candidate will generate project requirements to resolve product/process problems and to support development of new products/processes. The candidate will initiate technical investigations, prepare protocols, develop, and apply advanced theories, methods and research techniques in solution of complex and advanced problems.
The candidate will also be required to write reaction protocols, research reports, prepare grant proposals, and to periodically present work in a team setting and to customers, clients, investors, government organizations, and collaborators.

Requirements- Minimum of 2 years industry or post doc experience
- PhD in Organic Chemistry
- Strong polymer chemistry background required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, demanding, and exciting technology environment
- Strong work ethic and team player attributes
- Strong biochemical, biomedical, and/or biopharmaceutical chemical synthesis capabilities are a plus
- Eligible to work in the USA
